Week 0 Fortnite Challenges

Fully refuel or repair a vehicle (1)

Fully Refuel or Repair a Vehicle

In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, you no longer need to use gas canisters or gas stations to refuel a vehicle. Instead, you'll need to drive your car to a Service Station and park it on top of a station pad. You can see what they look like in the image above.

While using a station pad is the simplest way to complete this challenge, you can also drive your vehicle through a Repair Box (these are white crates with a red wrench symbol on the side) or use a Repair Torch if you've got one in your loadout already.

Deal Explosive Damage to Opponents

There are a few ways you can deal explosive damage to opponents, but one of the quickest is to find yourself a Boom Bolt. This is a brand-new weapon in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, and while it's generally used to blow up vehicles, there's no reason you can't use it to dish out some explosive damage to other players.

Visit Redline Rig, Brutal Beachhead, and Nitrodome

Redline Rig, Brutal Beachhead, and Nitrodome are the three major new locations added in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. They can all be found on the southern area of the map.

The good thing about this challenge is that you don't need to visit all three locations in a single match, so you can land at each one across three separate matches if you prefer. Having said that, they're all positioned near each other, so it's possible to visit them all if you grab yourself a car to speed things up.

Destroy Objects While in a Vehicle

There are two approaches you can take to destroying objects while in a vehicle: Shoot them with a gun or ram through them. We'd recommend the latter option.

The best way to do this is to attach a Cow Catcher bumper to your vehicle by driving through one of the blue vehicle mod boxes, as seen in the screenshot above. These increase your ramming power and protect your vehicle from damage. Once you've got one, simply drive through whatever you want - houses, trees, rocks, nothing is off-limits!

Travel Distance While Boosting

When you enter a vehicle, you'll notice a set of inputs will pop up on the left-hand side of the screen. Press the button or key that appears next to 'Boost' and you'll be zooming off at light speed (okay, maybe not that fast, but still pretty fast!).

Our top tip for completing this quest quickly is to boost through one of the burning rings that appear in the southern desert section of the map, as this will help you cover plenty of ground in no time at all.

Week 1 Fortnite Challenges

Restore health or gain shields with Slurp Cactus (300)

One of the major new healing items in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is the Slurp Cactus. Unlike Shield Potions or Bandages, you can't add these to your loadout. Instead, you need to hit them with your pickaxe or drive through them with a vehicle.

If you head to the desert area on the southern side of the map (anywhere near Redline Rig or Brutal Beachhead is good), it shouldn't take long to come across a Slurp Cactus. If you're on full health and shield already, you can try taking some minor fall damage.

Eliminate Players Using a Weapon With a Scope Mod

There are four scope mods in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3: Red Eye Sight, Sniper Scope, Holo-13 Optic, and Thermal Scope. The good news is that many weapons found inside Chests or as floor loot will already have a scope mod attached.

You'll usually be able to tell if a weapon has a scope by aiming down sights, but you can also inspect weapons in your loadout to see what mods (if any) they have attached.

If you haven't managed to find a weapon with a pre-attached scope mod, you can use a Mod Bench inside a Weapons Bunker. These underground bunkers unlock around halfway through a match, with a waypoint appearing on the screen to help you find the closest one.

Damage Opponents With Nitro Fists

Nitro Fists are a new type of melee weapon added in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. Despite being Epic rarity, they can be found inside Chests or as floor loot. It's also possible to get a powered-up Mythic variant by defeating the NPC boss Megalo Don, who either spawns at Brutal Beachhead or travels around the map with the War Bus.

Dealing damage to opponents with the Nitro Fists can be a little tricky, as you'll need to get up close to your opponents which leaves you vulnerable. The good news is that you don't need to eliminate anyone for this challenge, you just need to deal damage, so you can complete this quest over multiple matches if necessary.

Defeat Megalo Don, The Machinist, or Ringmaster Scarr

For this challenge, you'll need to defeat three of the NPC bosses that appear across the map in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. You can find these by opening the map and looking for the golden symbols, as marked in the screenshot above.

Sometimes these bosses remain static at a location on the southern side of the map, but other times they'll circle the Island alongside the War Bus. Whichever boss you decide to take on, they can be tricky to defeat, so make sure you come armed with full shields and some decent weapons. It might help to tackle this quest with a squad so you've got some backup.

Enter a Car From the Roof

You'll probably be used to entering vehicles from the side, but this challenge requires you to jump on top of a car, look down at your feet, and hold the 'drive' button that appears.

Week 2 Fortnite Challenges

Travel Distance Over Water While Infused With Nitro (400)

Travel Distance Over Water While Infused With Nitro

There are two ways you can complete this challenge. The first is to use a Nitro Splash on yourself and then run across any body of water. Nitro Splash is a consumable item that you can find regularly as floor loot or inside Chests. Press the 'fire' button to use it.

The second method is to use a Nitro Splash or drive through a Nitro Canister while you're inside a vehicle and then boost across the water. This method is much quicker, although you'll need to be able to get to the water before the Nitro effect wears off.

Regardless of which approach you take, a good place to complete this challenge is the lake at the center of the map, as there's plenty of water to run across without having to stop.

Damage Players With Pistols

There are two pistols you can add to your loadout in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3: the Ranger Pistol and the Hand Cannon. The pistol you choose for this challenge depends on your play style, as they function very differently from one another.

The Ranger Pistol is a fast-firing gun with a shorter reload time, which is good if you struggle with aiming. Conversely, the Hand Cannon is slow to use but deals much more damage per bullet, making it a great option if you have a steady aim or can sneak up on your opponents.

Recover Health or Gain Shields in an Oasis Pool

Oasis Pools can be found in the southern area of the map among the desert. We've marked their locations on the map above to help you find them.

Swimming in an Oasis Pool will recover your health and shields automatically, but it's a fairly slow process. If you want to speed things up, you can use a Med Kit or Shield Potion while swimming in the Oasis Pool, as this will still count towards the challenge's progress.

Drive or Ride Megalo Don's Behemoth, The Machinist's Lockjaw, Ringmaster Scarr's Lockjaw, or a War Bus

All of these powerful vehicles are guarded by boss NPCs, so this isn't going to be an easy challenge to complete. You can find them by looking for the gold medallion symbols on the map, as seen in the screenshot above.

Stationary medallion symbols indicate a boss that needs to be defeated so you can steal their medallion and unlock a cage containing their unique vehicle. Medallion symbols that move around the map indicate a boss that's driving their vehicle alongside a War Bus.

The quickest approach to completing this challenge is to look for a moving medallion and land next to the War Bus. If you can defeat an NPC controlling the cannons on top of it (or wait long enough for them to exit the vehicle), you can take their place to complete the quest.

Mod a Vehicle With a Cow Catcher or a Spiked Bumper

The first step in this quest is to enter a car, either a Whiplash (sports car) or a Grandeur Trailsmasher (SUV). These can be found all over the Island, but you might have an easier time locating one in the desert biome at the south of the map.

Once you're inside a car, drive along the main roads until you spot a blue crate. This indicates that it's a bumper mod, which is what you're looking for. It doesn't matter if it's a Cow Catcher or a Spiked Bumper, simply drive through it and it will automatically attach to your car.
