All anyone can talk about right now is the Iron Twins and how difficult it is, well here at Deadwoodjedi.com we are aiming to please everyone, so today we bring you another unkillable team in the form of a Full Auto Block Damage team! Overall teams for the Iron Twins are very hard to tune, however, I think we have a good one today, so let’s get to it.

The Iron Twins comp is probably the easiest to build to date and will probably be the Bateater of the Iron twins.

The team consists of;

  • A 4-turn block damage champion, any of Roschard the Tower or Helicath will do, but we are going to use Helicath for this team.
  • Demytha as she has a 3-turn cooldown block damage it is a good compliment to the 4-turn.
  • The key to the tune is making sure the decease speed debuff is up at all times and for that, we are going to use the void rare champion Kurzad Deepheart as he has a great chance to land the needed debuff on his A1. The only way this run fails is if by chance the decreased speed falls off, and it’s only a very small chance at that.
  • The other champions are the new meta champion for the Iron Twins, Geomancer and I don’t need to tell you why that is, HP burns reflects damage he is awesome and a must in any team for this dungeon, and we are bringing in Occult Brawler for the poisons to get that lovely passive damage to go along with the HP burns. However, this can be any 2 DPS.

You will need to build your champions with some health to survive the first hit. Also, the DPS champions need to be faster than Demytha and slower than Kurzad. For damage, you want as little as possible direct damage as we want the damage to come from Geo’s HP Burn and Occult’s Poisons.

  • Geomancer – DPS 1 – 160-180 Speed Range
  • Kurzad Deepheart – 180-194 Speed Range (Ideally around 190)
  • Occult Brawler – DPS 2 – 160-180 Speed Range
  • Demytha – 159-179 Speed Range (MUST be slower than both DPS Champions)
  • Helicath/Tower – 247-249 Speed Range

Once you have the builds done in the speed ranges mentioned above and the team setup done, you are ready to go, you shouldn’t have any issues when running this team, if you do try tweaking the speeds or the masteries, as a counterattack mastery can cause an issue.

And that’s it, that’s the easiest Iron Twins team to build, I for one am now going to build this team for myself and if you have these champions I would recommend you do the same.

If you like the Iron Twins Dungeons, what do you think of the awakening/blessings? Leave a comment down below, we love hearing from you!

Help! No turn meter or speed masteries, my skill order is set as prescribed for Tower/Dem/Kur+2DPS. Here are the speeds and the results with no Kurzad boss resists:

Dem is hit but lives about 2 minutes in, and it fails at 3:30
    Tower: 247
    Kurzad: 184
    Armiger: 180
    Coldheart: 172
    Dem: 164

I read the following Tower/Dem speeds worked in the youtube comments, but this fails about 20 seconds in when the Kurzad and the 2 DPS die.
    Tower: 247
    Kurzad: 184
    Coldheart: 173
    Coldheart: 172
    Dem: 170

    What damage avoids Retaliatory Launch?
I’m assuming that burn, poison, bombs, explode, warmaster, giant slayer, brimstone, phantom touch, bone armor, and reflect damage are all safe to use and will bypass/not trigger Iron Twins’ Retailiatiry Launch. Can anyone confirm?

That is the premise that this team would keep in sync. But in reality, it is hard to achieve, no matter how small your active dmg is, RNG could always make activedmg trigger boss passive at various timing.

Is Kurzad only needed for the decrease speed? can you sub Stag Knight or another A1 decrease speed..??
Also, would it be better to use the Tower instead of Demytha?
    Thanks in advance,

SK has two issues – first, weak affinity against magic; second, passive to puts on buff.

The run’s failure rate is no that small – definitly not only when Kuzard fails to land dec speed.
The issue is boss’s passive triggered at HP level 85%, 70%, 55% and 40%. If we could ensure that the threshold is only triggered through the passive poision/HP burn, then the team should work.
However, no matter how we try lowing active dmg (like no master, low attck, etc), RNG would play an role that the threshold would be triggered by active dmg at various timing, hence make the run to fail.
With that been said, minimze active dmg would help a lot, as well as push Kuzard’s speed to the upper bound, yet it is not that consistent. I would say one failure per day is pretty normal.

A new finding here: DO NOT give Kurzad the CA mastery. It looks like this mastery would help land dec speed debuff, but the problem is with it, the boss gets dec speec immediately with his opening move, when he has 0 TM. As a result, in Turn #3, instead of the expected sequce that Demytha uses A3 and then the boss moves, now Heli cuts in. This would complete mess up the run.

Without the CA, boss gets dec speed after Heli (moves first) and Kurzad (moves after Heli) A1, and he would has some TM. This TM is essential to prevent Heli from cutting in.

Indeed, with CA, the boss would gets dec speed in Turn #1 “almost certaintly” (because Kurzad has high chance hits twice); w/o this CA, the boss may have full speed in Turn #1. But through my failed runs, the “cutting-in” of Heli is more disastrous than the boss having no speed down in Turn #1.

    Therefore, do not have it…

Another tip: the boss A1 targets lowest HP champs, so build Demytha with lower HP than Kuzard (both around 35K, that is good enough to sustain the first hit. This means push Kurzad HP almost to upper limit with good HP ring amulet, and Demytha with garbage gear). To be safer, also gears Demy with higher C-rate and C-dmg than Kurzad.

With the speeds necessary…I just built my Kurzad with 130 c.rate. Btw…would a Shiled set mess up anything? I’m having mostly problems with surviving the 1st hit for now :P

130 crate doesn’t work. If the boss hits Kuzard, that is 50% c-rate down.
What’s the point of shield set? We want Huzard to have the highest HP, which means all team have a low HP, and 20% shield means nothing.

    I use the following team:
    Aura lead – Geo: 180 Spd/516 Acc
    Demytha: 171 Spd
    Kurzad: 190 Spd/529 Acc/3* Faultless Defense Blessing
Frozen Banshee: 178 Spd/521 Acc/2* Phantom Touch Blessing
    Helicath: 248 Spd/2* Smite Blessing
No turn meter increase masteries, skill cooldown ok on FB and Geo, Warmaster on Heli, Demyth, and FB. Had to do Eagle-eye to get Acc on Geo and Kurzad,
Set up is the same as DWJ except I open with FB’s A3 and prioritize it as 1, do NOT use A2
Fastest time on Force has been 2:27 with the slowest of 3:11, no losses. I will update on other affinities soon.

I built this team yesterday and it took me all day to get up enough silver to change the builds for several of the champs. It does work but it has a high failure rate. It’s definitely not even close to 100%. It’s more reliable than my previous team but just a watch out for anyone considering this team. Failed runs mean wasted energy and time. Ps I don’t have occult brawler so I used tomb lord for my poisoner and on magic affinity it definitely fails the most.

I have run it for 5 months now. Rarely can I get 6-6 wins. The chance is almost the same of get 3 failures (6-9 run). Lossing twice is very normal.
Note that what you cannot get from the video is actually how the active dmg is lowered. To so degree, it is even more difficult to bring down the stats than to stack them up.
Key to this team is: 1) have speed down debuff all the time (except the first turn – i.e. no CA accessory or mastery. Otherwise, Heli will be faster and cuts in
      2) limit active dmg as much as possible (for example, have brimestone on Heli)

(the 3 pain keeper team is much more reliable, yet it cannot be 100% winning rate).

Hey Deadwood, would love to see an Iron Twins calculator. Iaang has one, but it’s missing a lot of stuff (like Yumiko’s CD reduction), and I really like the way you do tools. Any way you’d consider making one?

If I wanted to sub out some of the champs– keep Geo and Occult Brawler.. could I do that? I’ve tried but it seems to be unreliable. I am trying to run Mithrala, duch*ess, Marichka, Geo and Occult Brawler–putting Mithrala in the lead for the accuracy aura since I seem to be having trouble hitting the accuracy numbers– I am running both Geo and OB above 500 but can’t seem to get to that 600. I’m able to hit stage 12 on a 2/3 success rate full auto…but can’t seem to beat stage 13 wtih any good frequency. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, Geo is a must – even for the 3-Pain Keeper Team.
The key is to make sure passive dmg triggers the boss passive at the END of each turn. For no matter what set up / speed (even the 3 pain keeper team), there will be some “dangerous” turns (or two, like 12-14-22-24….), when during the turn, a PK is without block dmg. Same thing here. If any of the team member goes w/o block dmg during a turn, and the next move is an active dmg, the boss passive is triggered. For 3-PK team, this is not fatal unless it is the 40% one that could one shot PK – yet even so, you still have Geo up for two more turns, and he can finish the boss. If you use a max HP dps in 3-PK team, you could easily fail. And the similar situation for this Kuzard team is worse – timing is totally messed up. (unlike for 3PK team, timing is not really an issue).
So brimestone also helps a lot, for it cause a lot of passive dmg which means the boss passive triggered at the end of the turn (when brimestone kicks in) is much higher.
